Zelvoq Fume pulls solder smoke through an activated carbon filter and lights up your work with two light bars. Two buttons run it, and its display shows you how it's set.

How it works
From your iron to the filter, in a straight line.
The fan pulls air in through the front. Smoke goes through the carbon sheet, past the fan and out the back. This is the inside, to scale:

In through the front
The filter window is 79 mm per side and sits at the height of whatever you're soldering.

Through the carbon
A 5 mm activated carbon sheet traps smoke and flux odor before it reaches the fan.

Moved by an 80 mm fan
It's a ball-bearing 8025. The buttons give you three speeds.

Out the back and the side
There's a rear grille and slots on one side, so you can keep it near a wall without blocking the exhaust.
Light
Two light bars, no shadow under the tip.
There's a COB LED strip behind a diffuser on each side of the filter. Light reaches the part from both sides, so the iron's tip doesn't hide what you're looking at. It has three levels and turns off when you don't need it.
Display and buttons
Two buttons and a display that shows how it's set.
The left button changes the fan speed and the right one the light. On the display the fan spins faster the harder it runs, and the sun opens its rays with the light. What you see here is the device's own animation, drawn from its firmware data: give it a try.
Filter
The filter slides out the top.
The carbon sheet sits in a tray you pull out by its handle, no tools or clips. When it looks saturated or you notice flux odor getting through, swap it and get back to soldering. Spare filters come in the box.
